Independent Reading

LightSail

Students will be taking a different approach to their independent reading through LightSail. Students will no longer be required to complete weekly reading logs; instead they will be reading on iPads. LightSail is a new reading program that helps students exceed their literacy goals. In class projects, which will count as a test grade. Be ready to present the week of June 8th.
Independent Reading
Students should be reading at least 3-4 times a week for 20 minutes with their independent book and completing assigned reading log. Reading will help the students improve in their fluency, comprehension, vocabulary expansion and writing.
Headphones/earbuds
Every Friday starting in January  you will be required to have your headphones or earbuds in class for the computer program.
